Role: Small Works Project Manager - Sprinklers

Location: London

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum

Technical Resources are recruiting for an experienced Small Works Project Manager to join a team in London. As part of the main contracts team, you will manage a selection of fire protection system projects, specifically sprinkler installations. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the project from start to finish, ensuring compliance, cost control, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys.
  • Procure labour, equipment, and fabrication materials.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and site managers/supervisors.
  • Work closely with your Operations Manager and Director to control costs for contracts and projects.
  • Monitor installation progress and compare against the program of works.
  • Maintain up-to-date site records, including a diary of all site operatives working on your projects.
  • Ensure compliance with issued and approved method statements and risk assessments.
  • Assist with testing and commissioning of fire protection systems.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Experience as a Project Manager for commercial sprinkler installations.
  • CSCS card (essential).
  • Strong procurement and cost control skills.
  • Background in commercial sprinkler contracts, wet riser systems, and dry riser systems.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office and similar project management software.
  • Knowledge of sprinkler-related standards such as BS EN12845, LPC Rules & BS9990.
  • LPCB Design qualification(s) (desirable).
  • SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable).
  • A can-do, hands-on attitude (desirable).
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly approach (desirable).
  • Excellent verbal communication skills (desirable).
  • Ability to multitask effectively (desirable).
  • Willingness to learn and develop (desirable).
  • High reliability and strong work ethic (desirable).
