Role: Security Technical Support Engineer
Location: Leeds
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Security Technical Support Engineer in Leeds. The ideal candidate will be a Security Engineer looking to come away from the tools or a current Technical Support Engineer seeking an industry change. We are looking to recruit an ambitious, commercially-minded, and experienced person to fill this position.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical support for a wide range of security systems including Access Control, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Gate Automation Systems.
- Provide pre- and post-sale support, answering customer queries over the phone and occasionally onsite.
- Assist with site installation when required, providing expert advice on wiring, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Support quotations for large or complex security systems projects.
- Collaborate with the Technical Manager to create technical drawings, training materials, and other supporting documentation.
- Ensure sales quotes are technically sound and aligned with project requirements.
- Offer ongoing technical support to customers and handle faulty returns in coordination with manufacturers.
- Develop and maintain your professional skills and expertise in the latest security technologies.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Extensive experience in the security systems industry.
- Experience with Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder Alarms.
- Familiarity with technical product knowledge in gate hardware, automation products, and intercoms.
