Location: Essex

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum + Car

Technical Resources are recruiting for a Security Technical Manager in Essex. As the Security Technical Manager, you will be pivotal in the successful delivery of security solutions for social housing projects. Your role will involve overseeing the commissioning, installation, and project management of advanced electrical security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Public Address and Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems, Door Entry Systems, and Intercoms.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning, testing, and deployment of security systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Oversee the delivery of security system projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams for seamless project execution.
  • Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Support and guide junior technicians and engineers to deliver technical excellence.
  • Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to upskill team members.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Provide regular progress updates and address concerns promptly.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Proven experience in managing and delivering advanced security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, PAVA, Door Entry, and Intercoms).
  • Strong technical background in commissioning and troubleshooting security technologies.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance (e.g., NSI, SIA, BS EN Standards).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within London as required.
  • Relevant certifications in security systems or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in the social housing or public sector.
