Role: Security Design Estimator
Location: Remote/Midlands
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + Car Allowance
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Security Design Estimator. The ideal candidate will have experience in system design and estimating within the Security Industry. The role will involve delivering tender and sales opportunities across the business consistently, along with producing quotations based on information provided by site-based staff and others.
Responsibilities:
- Produce client quotations and issue them internally or externally as directed.
- Carry out site surveys as required in consultation with the Technical Director and others.
- Monitor the quote bank for follow-ups and order progression, contacting clients as necessary to obtain decisions.
- Prepare and return accurate tenders/estimates within deadlines, including design, specifications, drawings, and technical submissions as required.
- Participate in Design to Operations handover meetings upon award and as directed.
- Complete design calculations and present technical information, liaising with manufacturers and suppliers for technical data and cost.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- High level of self-motivation, organisational ability, and the drive to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated commercial awareness within the security/electronic industry.
- Experience with Security estimating, including completion and submission of Quotations, Bill of Quantities, and tender documents.
- Experience negotiating within the Security and wider industries.
- High computer literacy in Microsoft Applications.
