Role: HSS Security Installation Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £36,000 - £43,000 per annum
Technical Resources are currently seeking an experienced HSS Security Installation Engineer to join a team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining security systems, access control, IP CCTV, and VMS platforms for our prestigious financial and government clients, working on major project works.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and perform servicing of security systems, access control, IP CCTV, and VMS platforms.
- Undertake reactive fault-finding visits and maintenance of installed products.
- Interpret specifications, drawings, and design standards to ensure systems are installed, serviced, and maintained according to client requirements.
- Apply a solution-finding and problem-solving approach to all tasks.
- Meet deadlines, including predefined target times, first fix dates, and PMV dates.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with the service team and management about customer issues or site problems.
- Maintain awareness of Health & Safety regulations.
- Complete paperwork and electronic reporting promptly for the service team.
- Always maintain a professional appearance.
- Be an active team member in the on-call service rota.
- Ensure jobs are delivered within the allocated timescale, maintaining commercial awareness.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Previous industry experience is essential.
- Good timekeeping skills.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work on your initiative and as part of a team.
- Dynamic, forward-thinking, and ambitious.
- Computer literate.
- Full UK driving license (Essential).
- Experience in servicing security alarm systems, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
- PMV delivery of inspections.
- Current qualifications or relevant experience in security alarm systems.
- Knowledge of Galaxy Intruder, IP CCTV, and Access Control systems.
- Pacom equipment knowledge (advantageous).
- Understanding of service delivery and compliance with current standards.
