Role: Fire Safety Site Supervisor
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + Van
Technical Resources are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Site Supervisor to join an existing team in Edinburgh. The successful candidates will oversee a variety of fire safety projects, supervise engineers, and manage sub-contractors on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction and new build sites to ensure fire safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct daily setups and toolbox talks for the site teams.
- Attend client meetings and serve as the main on-site contact.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety regulations on-site.
- Manage direct installation teams and sub-contractors effectively.
- Monitor project schedules, ensuring materials are available when needed.
- Provide technical assistance and support to less experienced engineers.
- Handle escalations and work closely with Project Managers to resolve issues.
- Manage all aspects of site operations and project-related tasks.
- Assist with on-site work when required, ensuring all tasks are completed to high standards.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Previous experience in supervising engineers on-site.
- Strong technical background in Fire Alarm, Fire Door, and Passive Fire systems.
- BAFE, FIA, and FIRAS certifications.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- CSCS / ECS Card.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Thorough understanding of fire safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent project management and multitasking abilities.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
