Location: Southampton

Salary: £49,000 - £55,000 per annum + overtime available + company health care plan + referral scheme

Technical Resources are recruiting for a Fire Risk Assessor to join a professional team in Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting fire risk assessments and fire door inspections at various client sites, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations. This role requires a high level of responsibility, organisation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fire risk assessments, recording all significant findings using the required software applications.
  • Perform quality control processes using fire risk management software.
  • Conduct comprehensive fire door inspections at client sites.
  • Manage time and travel effectively to meet work commitments.
  • Communicate effectively with the management team to ensure proper workload management.
  • Complete all required administrative tasks, such as expenses, mileage, and leave requests, in a timely manner.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Level 3 fire safety qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to use smartphone applications for reporting.
  • Basic IT literacy skills.
  • Strong written English skills for accurate report writing.
  • Smart, presentable appearance.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Third-party accreditation with an industry-recognised body (e.g., IFE, IFSM, FPA) (desirable)
  • Fire door inspection qualification (e.g., City & Guilds) (desirable)
