Location: South East England

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (Bonuses and Allowances can provide a take home of £60,000 per year)

Technical Resources are recruiting for an experienced Fire Project Manager. We are recruiting for a permanent role to manage, supervise, and inspect fire protection projects across the UK. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, main contractors, and site management teams, as well as generating leads, providing quotations, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Management, supervision, and inspection of fire protection projects to current British, BAFE, and other applicable standards.
  • Management and coordination of fire protection teams and subcontractors working on installing and removing fire protection equipment.
  • Liaising with contractors and clients regarding fire protection product requirements.
  • Providing training and best practice advice to installation teams.
  • Managing budgets and resources, with regular reporting on project progress.
  • Attending monthly management meetings to report on costings, budgets, and project status.
  • Building lasting client relationships and providing excellent customer service.
  • Producing client reports detailing work carried out and project status.
  • Supporting HSQE Director in creating and managing RAMS/method statements to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Ensuring all statutory regulations and company requirements are met for health and safety.
  • Supporting the business with legal compliance, fire risk assessments, and audits related to fire protection.
  • Working closely with other managers, surveyors, and supervisors to provide advice and quotations for fire protection solutions.
  • Managing and approving supply and subcontractor invoices.
  • Maintaining internal databases for fire protection accounts and projects.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager within fire protection, ideally in the social housing or construction sectors.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and contract dispute resolution skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • CSCS Card (Desirable).
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification or experience in a social housing or construction environment (Desirable).
