Job Title: Fire and Security Small Works Engineer
Location: Plymouth
Rate: £220 p/day
Are you an experienced Fire and Security Small Works Engineer looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a skilled Fire and Security Small Works Engineer to carry out fault-finding, replacements, and small works across various sites in Plymouth and the surrounding areas. This role involves working on a wide range of systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and emergency lighting.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Conduct fault-finding, replacements, and small works across multiple sites.
- Work on open circuits, label devices, and add or replace devices.
- Systems to be maintained:
- Fire Alarms: Advanced, Haes, Notifier, Gent.
- CCTV: IP and analogue (Hikvision).
- Intruder Alarms: Galaxy, Premier, Menvier, Texecom.
- Access Control: Paxton.
- Complete electronic dockets using Android devices.
- Approximately 600 jobs to complete across multiple sites.
Experience required:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire and security systems.
- Candidates with pure fire or pure security experience will also be considered.
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- DBS certification (essential).
- BS7858 vetting to be started.
- Beneficial certifications: ECS, IPAF, or similar qualifications.
- Hand tools, fire test equipment, drills, steps, ladders.
- Full PPE.
- Android phone or tablet for electronic dockets.
