Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer

Location: Yorkshire

Rate: £220 p/day

Are you an experienced Fire and Security Service Engineer looking for a new challenge in Yorkshire? We are searching for a skilled professional to work on fire and security systems across commercial properties. You’ll be working with top-tier systems like Gent and Notifier fire alarms, with some additional security work on CCTV, Intruder, and Access Control.

Description of contract/programme of works:

  • Maintain and service fire alarm systems (Gent, Notifier, and other open protocol systems).
  • Perform remedial works such as changing smoke heads, batteries, and conducting repairs from servicing.
  • Security work may include CCTV (Hikvision IP/analogue), Intruder (Galaxy, Texacom, Scantronic), and Access Control (Paxton, Gallagher).
  • Aim to complete 100 devices a day, handling 3-4 jobs daily.

Experience required:

  • Extensive experience with fire systems and commercial properties.
  • Strong skills in maintenance and fault finding on fire and security systems.

Required documentation/certifications/tooling:

  • ECS/CSCS Card and DBS certificate are beneficial.
  • Contractors must supply hand tools, power tools, full PPE, steps, ladders, fire test equipment, and smoke poles. A laptop is beneficial.
  • Engineers must return any equipment provided before the end of the term.
