Role: Fire and Security Installation Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 per annum + company vehicle
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Fire and Security Installation Engineer to join a dedicated team responsible for installing Fire Detection equipment, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control systems. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of installation projects in London and the Southeast. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in these areas.
Responsibilities:
- Install Intruder Alarms, Fire Detection Systems, Access Control, and CCTV.
- Work with both conventional and wireless alarm systems.
- Install IP & Analogue CCTV systems with basic networking integration.
- Implement Dual Com monitoring and other communication devices.
- Adhere to NSI codes of practice and relevant industry standards.
- Maintain emergency lighting systems.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience installing intruder alarms and fire detection systems.
- Experience with access control and CCTV installation is ideal.
- Familiarity with both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
- Basic networking skills for IP-based CCTV systems.
- Knowledge of major alarm brands and app-based systems.
- Understanding of industry standards such as EN50131, PD6662, DD243, BS4737, and BS8243.
- Familiarity with NSI codes of practice for installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
