Role: Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Location: Orpington
Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 per annum
Technical Resources are recruiting for a Fire Alarm Service Engineer with over 3 years’ experience to service, fault-find, and manage small works projects. The role focuses on fire detection servicing and reactive work in the Orpington area. Experience in security, access control, and CCTV systems would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Service and fault-find on fire detection systems including conventional, addressable, and wireless fire alarm systems.
- Multitask across security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intruder alarms, if applicable.
- Maintain emergency lighting systems.
- Adhere to NSI codes of practice and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Complete reactive work and small installations as required.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience with fire detection systems (conventional, addressable, and wireless).
- Familiarity with major fire alarm brands such as Gent and Vesda, including app-based systems.
- Knowledge of security systems, access control, door entry, and IP/Analogue CCTV is beneficial.
- Experience with Dual Com monitoring and communication devices.
- Strong understanding of industry standards such as EN50131, PD6662, DD243, BS4737, and BS8243.
- Familiar with installation, commissioning, and maintenance practices in line with NSI codes.
