Job Title: Data Cabling Supervisor
Location: Manchester
Rate: £25 p/hour
Are you an experienced Data Cabling Supervisor in Manchester with a strong background in overseeing large installations? We are recruiting a Data Cabling Supervisor to lead a team of 7 engineers on a substantial cabling project.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Supervising a team of 7 engineers during the installation of Cat 6a and fibre cabling.
- Ensuring approximately 78,500m of Cat 6a is installed to 1,200 points, terminated at both ends into Cat 6a keystone jacks.
- Overseeing the installation of 1,500m of multicore single-mode fibre to 35 points (2 cores terminated at both ends).
- Ensuring all cable installations are neat, tidy, and bundled correctly with Velcro straps.
- Coordinating the use of spit guns for cable fixings to ceilings (to bridge short gaps between primary and secondary containment).
- Monitoring the electrical contractor’s containment installation and ensuring proper cable installation.
Experience required:
- Proven experience in supervision within cabling projects.
- Ability to manage and guide a team to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
